HOLLOW BODY PONDER YOUR EMPTINESS

Hollow Body jelled circa 2012 when Thomas F. Banks (Bully Pulpit) and Brian Jarvis (Coyote Camaro, I Come From The Mountain) began to collaborate on a series of multimedia performances. These reverb-drenched, projection-backed, temporal-based guitarscapes charted psychic journeys of melancholia and loss, nostalgia and eulogy.

Their debut collaboration, I HATE TO TELL YOU THIS, is a terse 22‐minute song+image cycle comprised of ten spare instrumental pieces synced to a series of "home movies." It is designed to move along a visual and sonic trajectory from disillusionment and resignation to dialectic transcendence.

Hollow Body's work is informed by the aporias and limits of language, the vicissitudes of meaning, and the formative chasms of incomprehension that cleave our fragile subjectivities into and out of being.
